I recently had a lower back issue that would not correct itself with my usual chiropractor visits. I enlisted the help of Josie who is a physiotherapist. She was extremely helpful with my back issues. She gave me exercises after each appointment that I should do, at first once a day, then twice a day. The most helpful part was that she shared with Zhanna what she was working on with me and Zhanna came to my aid as well in each yoga or pilates class I did with exercises that supported what I needed to work on. This double approach was what I needed to finally get my back sorted out. I am very thankful for their knowledge, their expertise and their support!

Thank you for being such a patient, wonderful and amazing yoga teacher. I really appreciate all your classes and your online classes on zoom in these challenging times are such a reprieve. They are interactive and I feel that I am in the studio when you correct my posture while watching it on your screen. I also like how you focus on strengthening each part of the body and mind to face difficulties like these. I also think its a good idea of yours to share recorded videos for us to practice later. Here are some comments that I'm happy to share. It's great that you are able to offer classes through Zoom. It shows your care and dedication to your students. Videos are good, but it requires self-discipline to do the classes on your own. I don't have that self-discipline and was beginning to feel the lack of practice. We feel it in the body but we can't tell when the mind is missing the practice directly. But I'm sure that I'm more calm and able to deal with the pandemic because of the regular practices. The zoom classes work really well. I like the weekly auto-payment option and I think the pricing is a bargain right now. - commitment - you sign up and you need to show up - the schedule works well for me - there is a sense of community, doing something together with others, even if there is no direct interaction with others during the class. - we see and hear your enthusiasm, which is contagious as always - the practices are still challenging - we become creative in terms of finding props (perhaps this is a reason why people are not signing up?) AND THE BEST - you are still AMAZING at correcting us. I don't know how you can do it but you do. Let me know if you need anything else.

Hi Zhanna First of all thank you for taking all the efforts to move your classes online. I’ve really found it very beneficial and feel am in better form due to consistent practice. I am practicing 3 times a week and other days I try to go for a bike ride or walk weather permitting of course. I like the format of the class and instructions are very clear as is in class. I really appreciate Jason being there to show while you watch us more closely. But classes where only you have been around also have been good and I’ve found it more difficult or anything. I wish you have more intermediate classes as that’s where I really feel challenged and push myself. But I can understand why you haven’t been able to so far. I do like the 6pm classes and wouldn’t mind if it were at 5pm. 7pm would be challenging for me comparatively. My aim is to be shirsana ready latest by summer 🙂 Hope this helps. I am very impressed with the on line classes. I was actually going to request, when all this self distancing is over, that you continue to have at least one restorative class per week on ‘Zoom’. I find it very relaxing after the restorative class to just go upstairs and relax, - no packing up - no driving. The demonstrations you do are very clear - just like in the studio and the way you watch everyone and correct our postures is just like in class - it is very helpful and I find that I am improving . Since most of my other activities have been put on hiatus, I have been able to pursue my yoga practice more fully and my body thanks both me and you for it. I am stronger and more flexible than before this 'covid-19' shut down started - prompting me to make more of an effort once this is over to go to the studio more often. I tend to hold my breath, so I would appreciate it if you cued us how to breathe during the poses. For those who may think they need more props - I took a comforter & stuffed it into a pillow case to use as a bolster - it works & if you don’t have a prop - Zhanna will alter the pose to suit your surroundings. Thank you Zhanna for helping us stay healthy, both physically and mentally.

Thank you for offering your online classes during these self-quarantine times. I enjoy your zoom classes as they allow me to continue some normalcy with a routine in life. What I like best about your practice is a commitment to myself for a full hour of practice and at same time getting some feedback from yourself. I do practice on my own but find your input during your classes helpful. Seeing myself in my zoom window gives me a perspective of where I am in space which is interesting to observe while you are giving instructions.

"Zhanna is an attentive, detail oriented and extremely knowledgeable instructor. She is very committed to making sure that each pose maximizes the benefits for the participants. She also makes it fun, while being honest about what needs to be improved and still ensuring that you get the most from the class. Last year, I started attending one of her Basic Iyengar classes and I informed her of a nagging shoulder injury that was restricting my movements and causing pain for me most of the time. She was so vigilant about giving me modifications for my shoulder, showing me what to do at home to help with the healing, and encouraging me to keep at it. Today, I have virtually no pain in my shoulder and have most of my mobility back. I am so grateful to have found such a fantastic yoga instructor!"
